ABOUT

THICK: crumbling freak show is a ramble
a ripple in the
canon of work speaking to what it means for a Black woman's livelihood to rest on the performance of their body.

Employing movement, sound, projections, and spacemaking, Freeman asks, “What does the spatiotemporal history of Black women and our bodies tell us about consent, commodification, and spectacle?”
