Created by Po’Chop, the directory documents performers working across styles, geographies, and lineages, offering a tool for presenters, producers, journalists, and audiences seeking to engage Black burlesque with intention and care. The project responds to the persistent erasure of Black artists within burlesque history and contemporary circuits, prioritizing self-identification, accessibility, and community accountability over gatekeeping or ranking.
