“As the music built and exploded, so did Po’Chop.  In a sometimes convulsive, sometimes frenetic attempt to let the dance inside of her out, Po’Chop navigated amount several influences — including ritual tribal dances, Alvin Ailey style modern dance, capoeira, and even the old bump-and-grind. While her clothes came back off along the way, this was almost incidental. It was as if Po’ Chop had captured lightning in a bottle and the bottle was herself. Subject to no one, nearly naked, Po’ Chop ended this dynamic display seated in that big wicker chair with a spear in one hand and a rifle in the other, yet she herself was the most provocative symbol of might onstage. “
